Somalia nabs Shabab Man Suspected of Killing Journalists
Somali security agencies has displayed a senior Al-shabab member accused of killing dozens of journalists in the troubled Horn of African country.
Hassan Hanif Hajji, who was arrested in Kenyan in a joined operation carried out by Kenyan and Somali intelligence, was on Tuesday displayed to journalist in Mogadishu.
The spokesman of the Somali Ministery of national security Mohomed Yusuf Osman told reporters that Kenyan security arrested Hajji in his hideout in Kenya after Al-shababa lost large swathe of territory in Somalia.
Attacks have intensified in recent weeks, showing the threat still posed by al Shabaab after African peacekeepers pushed them out of the capital in 2011.
Officials say the Islamists still control tracts of countryside and settlements from where they have launched their guerrilla-style campaign.
