Emirate Red Crescent distributed (sacrificial) meat to hundreds of poor Yemeni and Somali families live in refugee camps located in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia.
The UAE RCS donated and slaughtered about 1,200 goats for the celebrations of Eid Al-Adha festival. More than 2,800 poor families benefited from the meat distribution and the targeted categories were orphans, widows, and Yemeni refugees in Somalia, mentally ill and disabled people.
UAE embassy in Somalia and UAE RCS managed the sacrificial meat to reach the targeted families. The beneficiaries and administrations of the districts where the meat were distributed thanked UAE-Red Crescent Society and UAE embassy in Somalia for the timely and well needed support.
About 2,800 poor families were able to partake of the joyous occasion of Eid-Al-Adha with other families following this meat distributing of UAE Red Crescent Society in refugee camps in Mogadishu. This is part of the supports that Emirati people and its government give the people of Somalia.
